Although I love Amber and think she is an important part of the show, my god, did I love the Bro-down Showdown. I love how different the feeling of each episode is depending on which of the hosts are there.
I love all of you guys and every episode of this show brightens my day. :)

Sean- you're awesome. Do you feel more aubrey or maturin? love you on improv for humans. in 25 years they should reboot grumpy old men with you and pepitone. I dream of a tv show with you, andy daly, and eddie pepitone. You've all made we almost pee with laughter. Andy Dick would be fun to have on the show. But I digress. I live in Iowa and here's something for you to try. It's called corn bake. Haven't heard you discuss cooking much but this is a simple one.

Mix 1 cup sour cream, 1 stick melted butter, 1 can whole kernel corn, 1 can cream corn, and 1 box jiffy cornbread mix. Add banana flavoring extract to taste (jk).

put mixture in casserole dish and bake at 350 for an hour.

maybe you've already had it but if not - it's the best. when corns in season you can substitute a few ears of corn for the can of whole kernel corn.

all the best.

Just listened today...

I'm not a doctor, but the medical "investigation" Eddie had for his ass pain sounds like complete bullshit. Blood test and x-ray? He should have been booked in for a colonoscopy!

Eddie having a colonoscopy would be a win-win situation.

If he has cancer of the lower GI tract, they find it and he gets treated.

If he doesn't have cancer, he will still have experienced one of the most disgusting, humiliating and painful preparations for a medical procedure....the Picoprep ordeal. The idea is to cleanse the surface of your bowel to the doctors can see any irregularities. You swallow this extremely strong laxative and you end up essentially pissing out your ass until it is red raw.

I can imagine Eddie mining a Picoprep Ordeal as a rich source of material. And if he *ever* thought of hosting The Tonight Show, it's a close approximation of what it felt like for Conan. :)

Also, Sean wanted people to suggest things to eat that he hadn't tried before. Try Picoprep. #teamjamie

Thanks Josh!

You make a very valid point, I will say. I've had some amazing burritos in San Diego as well as Santa Barbara that are at least on par with some of the better burritos in SF.

I don't mind the steam-heating of tortillas. I agree that they can be very ricey in The Bay, but I always ask for light rice. And I think that a burrito in foil is essential. In fact, if a burrito comes without foil wrapping I request that it is. Burrito eating is a very tactile experience for me, and being able to hold it, and add requisite salsa and hot sauce to every bite is super important.

I'm not a fan of the wet burrito. To me that's an entirely different ballgame.

Mariachi was indeed great!

The 3/4ths episodes are like strange comedic chemistry science experiements. Take Amber out of the equation, and the void created is filled by Jamie trying (and failing) to get in on the Al and Margaret riff for the first time, and awkward silence filled with Jamie's weird bird sound effects. Which, by the way, Sean was 100% right for going after Jamie so hard for that. Sometimes I wonder if Jamie is playing up his Jamieness...

Hi Jamie, regarding your opinion of San Francisco burritos being the best... Disagree. And Happy Belated Birthday!

I'm a former San Diegan who has been living in San Francisco for 12 years, and I've never had a burrito in San Francisco that's compared to the amazing burritos from San Diego. It might be a lard thing, but I try not to think about this. This is indirectly answered in my following paragraph.

I must disclose I was a meat-eater for most of my life in San Diego, and transitioned to a lacto-ovo-pesce-vegetarian lifestyle 2 years before moving to SF. However, I have a meat-eating friend who has also relocated from SD to SF, and he is in agreement of SD burritos being better than SF burritos. Some contributing factors to this: 1) SF's rampant process of steam-heating the tortillas, 2) The overuse (my friend would argue "use") of rice and beans in SF burritos. Additionally, SF Burritos are wrapped in aluminum foil—something I'd never encountered in SD. Does this happen in LA?

Even with all of the above being typed and read, there are some good burritos in SF. El Tonayense, on 24th and Shotwell, a short walk away from El Farolito, makes a great vegetarian burrito. The Los Compadres taco truck has a great veggie burrito as well. La Fonda has a yummy veggie fajita burrito. Sadly, my favorite veggie burrito is no longer available, as Mariachi has been closed for years. It brings a tear to my eye whenever I walk by their old spot on Valencia and 16th. It's vacant, and their awning is still there... a constant reminder of the way things were.

I'm not including the many, many fusion burritos (e.g. Sushirrito, Sudachi's Japanese/Korean Burritos, Curry Up Now's Indian Burritos) in my comparison. These are exceptions, as each of these burrito hybrids is truly their own thing. These experiments-gone-awesome may very well be the best burritos in SF.

Regardless... Burrito each their own. Well, that doesn't work. Burrito through the two lips?
