I think it’s been proven by now that the show is still amazing with just Sean, Amber, and Jamie, but it just won’t be the same without you. =( I hope you visit all the time!

(I’m working on the assumption that the show is going to continue, because of course it is!)

But it’s been obvious for some time that while he is very talented, Eddie doesn’t sound like a very good friend. After the traveling to premiere his movie (a very understandable absence), his attitute was dismissive and condescending. He was getting more attention and it fed his egotism. He leaves behind the platform that truly elevated him because he has difficulty compromising. I think if he had maturely discussed his concerns with the group they would probably be willing to accommodate him. But as evidenced on the show numerous times; Eddie flies on the whims of ego and immediate gratification.

However, any healthy living creatue is in a constant state of growth. We are always changing and part of that process is the occasional loss of old friends and old ways. I think the remaining triptych has much talent and charm and holds the capacity for humorous and interesting shows. The correct answer is obvious to the heart and I feel confident that you three already know that you wish to continue. It’s the sting of this paradigm shift that has left a mist of uncertainty. But if you are patient and calm the mist will clear and the right answer will become obvious.

If you feel like you need a fourth person and can’t find the right chemistry with anyone else, I’d be happy to leave my wife and kids and move to LA to join the Long Shot

I know he hasn’t been there in a while but I seriously loved every time he came on…

Just goes to show, everyone who drives a Honda Element thinks they are a big shot!

but seriously the dynamic between the 3 of you is good enough, Eddie’s great but the show is great without him.

Sean, I’m glad you gave him a couple of soft kicks on his way out, as only a long-time friend can do. Perfectly played. I love the guy, but he deserved that.

I like the replacement idea. A new voice and energy for everyone to feed off. You’ve lost your Trapper John, now go find your B.J. Okay, that sounded bad.

In case you don’t continue the show (but seriously, do), a heartfelt thank you to all of you. The effort to pull together every week to brighten people’s lives for little to no money is not lost on us. I’m rooting for all of you! Vive El Long Shot!

I wonder if rebranding the show would cause him to reconsider his decision … perhaps something like “Eddie Pepitone presents: The Long Shot “Peptalk” Podcast – featuring the Bitter Buddha (Eddie Pepitone)”

I second and third the suggestions for either Joe Wagner or Bobcat to take over as fourth. While the show doesn’t NEED a fourth, both of them have amazing chemistry with the LoShoPo crew.

Joe Wagner is awesome. Please add him to the podcast if possible.

Now, at this point you may be thinking, “Should we add Joe Wagner to the podcast?” Yes! You should!

Without him around the three of you opened up more and it was a nice energy and easily as funny. My favourite episodes have been recent ones.

I don’t agree that Conroy/Pepitone was the soul of the show. The soul of the show is the dynamic between some people who are just trying to get along in the world and who make it look easy to talk about for an hour every week.

We’re all rooting for the three of you. Keep the Aspidastra flying.

I’m looking forward to listening to Eddie’s podcast, but I hope you guys don’t call it quits. The show has become even more compelling since you’ve opened up a bit. If it’s become too difficult to do logistically, that’s cool, but if you can still do it, please, please keep it going. The show just gets better and I hope you guys know how many people appreciate it.
