And it’s kind of hard to miss the goofy manboy orientation of even the best Apatow work…seeing him try to overcome it, with the help of his wife, even in the likes of THIS IS 40, is still mostly at the Well, E for Effort level rather than You Nailed It, Judd. And even given the pop-culture tendency all around us to Go Manboy…see, for example, MARRIED, which manages to underuse and under-represent Judy Greer and her character, which is criminal…the relatively slight time accorded to the Jenny Slate & Paul Reiser characters nonetheless comes closest to dealing with a couple on more or less equal terms.
Is there anyway for you all to do a podcast while walking around a zoo?
Between this and the bowling alley episode, I think guerrilla recording in inappropriate public spaces should be a regular thing for you guys. Love the show.
