Many dudes at my high school engaged in ironic homoerotic talk. Many. I wash my (non-raw denim) jeans in the washer, bro… probs too often… the jeans get washed after every two or three wears. A lot of people don’t do it because they want to be green and have concerns about the color of their jeans fading… which, by the way I for one have never experienced (or at least have never experienced significant color fade.)
Jamie – with regards to your beloved brown shirt, maybe you could change ALL the buttons. Go to F&S Fabrics on Pico, they have everything. You can find people who do tailoring and mending on Craigslist.
Also for quality clothing that will fit your budget – consider used. Try eBay and thrift shops. If you’re using eBay, make sure the things you buy are returnable in case they don’t fit.
