I was having the shittiest rotten day, and this episode came along, and on the drive home from work, I laughed my ass off! Thank You!!!!
Should have been called The Horsey Episode. LOL
Sean, after saying WHAT’S HAPPENING!?! was remotely a good sitcom with anything approaching a straight face…you really should give Jamie an extra quarter in penance.
WH was the second-worst sustained US sitcom of the 1970s, after only THREE’S COMPANY/THREE’S A CROWD (though the UK strove mightily to take the crown with ARE YOU BEING SERVED?).
We could only wish that Shyamalan was kidding. Even when he is kidding (in part), as in SIGNS, it’s horribly, horribly ponderous.
Horribly.
.
The Shyamalan Black Box Theater.
War Horsie ! LOL
Could have also called this the ‘My boyfriend had a Groupon’ episode
Oh man. This one’s up there with the best of em (looking at you, Xmas episode). I shed at least a pint of laugh tears.
Eddie’s on fire, dropping great bits left and right and everyone is giddily onboard, especially toward the end. Spielberg screaming about the horsies is my favorite moment of the season (so far).
I saw the recent version of Three Musketeers on a plane earlier this year, and I have to say it could definitely be a contender for the worst movie ever.
As to Jamie’s movie experience story… I remember taking a date to see Pretty in Pink back when I was in high school. Turns out we were the only two people in the entire theater – and they refused to turn the house lights down when the movie started. It really put the kibosh on the old hole in the popcorn bucket trick.
This podcast has given me a new mission in life.
That mission is….HATS!
If your mission is hats, I have your new purpose:
Kill people, earn hats, rule the world.
I must be dense. Why is ‘A type of science’ so funny to Sean? Clearly my public school education has failed me yet again…
